Verwoerd Ceramics Online

In the codes used below the letter C stands for circular - or round - medallions. It is followed by the rounded size of each model in millimeters. The sizes have been derived from the original trade names used by the Verwoerd workshop, and actual sizes may differ by one or two tenths of a millimeter. Most of the smaller medallions have been decorated by Cornelis Verwoerd personally. The models marked W are by P.Woerlee who worked for the Verwoerd Studio from 1953 to 1956. Woerlee specialized in larger sizes. The silver mounted model C17.5 is an example of the many variations produced by Schoonhoven silversmiths. The caption under each picture mentions the number of pieces sold, and the years in which they have been produced. Although we believe that these figures are a useful indication of the relative production sizes, they may be subject to change on the basis of further research results.
